Wicklow Mountain Run 2014

Post by Willie Ryan »

Sunday 1st June is the date for our next Run. Meeting point is the 'The Globe' Retail Park at Junction 9, 'Naas North' exit, off the M7 (N7) in Naas at 11 o'clock leaving at 12 o'clock for Blessington and on to Sally Gap, Laragh/Glendalough and on to Rathdrum, Avoca, stopping in Woodenbridge for a quick stretch of the legs. Then on to Aughrim and back to Rathdrum and Laragh stopping there for grub (we may have the grub in Woodenbridge. That's yet to be decided).
Then the final leg back to Blessington and finishing back where we started in Naas.

Nice part of the country was working in Turlough Hill Hydro power station and staying in Rathdrum some great driving roads around there and magnificent scenery. Just watch out for the dear jumping across the roads .They dont give cars right of way. :auto-swerve:

June bank holiday traditionally brings good weather. Would love to get to this. Will give a definite closer to time.

When you say the retail park at the ball I assume it's the one where Smiths toy store is.
I'm not going to have a car at this but I will call up for a few pictures and chat.

That's the one Charlie. I couldn't remember the shops that were in there.
Looking forward to seeing you there anyway. Pity you won't be bringing one of the GT's along but there's always next year! ;-)
