Filled the car with petrol and left filling station at 2.15pm Friday.
Convoy of 2 myself (Kadett E) and Martin (speedster) and picked up 2 Mantas and an Ascona C along the way a few stops for tea and a major break down along the way,Manta eingne trouble box of tools out and some surgery under the bonnet.
But to no avail so had to leave her behind in Abbeyfeale Garda station.
Back on the road after getting cleaned up and turned in the gates of the Eccles Hotel Glengarriff at 10.25pm one long day but still an enjoyable day/road trip.
All part of the joys of old cars is there break downs.

Booked in through bag up to the room and down to the bar for 1 or 2 drinks and then another 1 or 2 and so on a great night of crack and laughs with friends and like minded Opel/Vauxhall heads.
The set up before the run was very well organised and the run was top class roads, veiws were top class.Dinner hit the spot and filled the tank back up for the second part of the run.
A load of spot prizes after dinner and alot of happy campers.
Out on the road again and a few break downs again but you will have that, but luckly there where those on the run that carried some spare parts that got some cars back on the run.

Back to the hotel and a great night of crack and laughs again.Another late night but had a ball.
Left hotel this morning at 12 a few stops on the way home for tea got home at 5.10pm and 457 miles up on the clock.

But have to say a big thanks to Ted fair play lad enjoyed it to the full top class weekend.
And a very big thanks to all concerned who helped in anyway ye put on a great event.
THANKS ALL. :text-thankyouyellow:

Thanks to Ted, Noirin, and all the committee and all who turned up for making this one of the best Opel Vauxhall events on the island. Huge credit has to go out to them for their work in making this happen and thanks for the hospitality.

Great to meet up with lots of new people and the usual suspects, a super weekend and immensly enjoyed the routes and the craic. :auto-swerve:
