Classic Car Show NEC Birmingham 2013

Post by Willie Ryan »

A mate of mine in the local Classic Car Club sent me this and I was wondering would many people here have much interest in going?
It's a package deal travelling by bus to the NEC on Friday 15th November, attending the show on 16th November and returning home on Sunday 17th November. Travel, accomodation, meals and tickets into the show are included at a price of €195 pp. I didn't think it was a bad deal. Details are below.....

ITINERARY: 3 day/ 2 night Tour with 1 full day at the Classic Motor Show.

FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER
We will pick you up by luxury coach from your designated pick up point and travel to Dublin for the Irish Ferries crossing to Holyhead, departing at 08.05hrs. After arrival at Holyhead we will continue to a lunch stop at Lymm Services (Britain’s largest and most modern truck stop) where you can purchase good home-cooked food at realistic prices. We will have a 45 minute stop here then continue south on the M6 motorway and will arrive at our hotel in Coventry city centre at approximately 17.30hrs for a three night stay. The Hotel will have a Happy Hour in the bar from 18.00-20.00hrs each evening (99p a pint or glass of house wine). Dinner will be served at 19.00hrs then the evening will be at leisure.

SATURDAY 16TH NOVEMBER
Breakfast will be served at 07.00hrs and we will depart at 08.00hrs sharp for a full day at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC. We aim to arrive at the Show at 09.00hrs. Sponsored this year by Lancaster Insurance, the Classic Motor Show is the biggest and most popular classic car exhibition in the UK. With over 1400 wonderful cars from all eras, showcasing a myriad of marques and models, this really is every motoring enthusiast’s paradise! The show celebrates all ages - the veteran, the vintage, the classic and the future classic.
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motorbike Show is right next door to The Classic Motor Show and admission to both shows is included in your ticket. At the Classic Motorbike Show you will find superb club displays of bikes covering all eras and marques from Vintage to Modern Classics; British, Italian, Japanese, American, classic racers, custom, scooters and much more. There are also dedicated Classic Bike traders and features such as Live classic trials riding and the world famous ‘Wall of Death’!
We will leave the Show at 18.30hrs and return to the hotel for dinner, served at 20.00hrs, and an evening at leisure. Again there will be a Happy Hour in the bar from 18.00-20.00hrs

SUNDAY 17TH NOVEMBER
Breakfast will be served at 07.00hrs and the coach must depart at no later than 08.30hrs for the return journey to Holyhead with a rest and coffee stop at Sandbach services on the M6 motorway. Time permitting we will also make a short stop at the village with the world’s longest name, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. We will board the 14.10hrs Irish Ferries crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, followed by immediate transfer to your original pick up point.
