Organised by the Limerick Classic & Vintage car club , the show always attracts a large retro classic contingent & this year
Retro Classics Magazine will be sponsoring the event.
The first Limerick Show was held in 1992 and attracted over 150 VWs and Classic cars. The show has grown considerably over the years, with over 800 standard and modified cars attending in 2013 . Everything ranging from Classic Minis to Jaguars, modified Beetles, high-performance VAG cars, retro Fords & Opels ,Porsches, American and Japanese cars are all welcome ensuring that there will be plenty of variety and something for everyone.
In 2013 , the Limerick Show had nearly 60 Mk1 Golfs attending , the largest ever gathering of them in Ireland.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the popular Golf ,which will be celebrated with the generous help of Volkswagen Group Ireland .
As usual many prizes will be awarded on the day ,including special Retro Classics Magazine trophies.
New attractions include an aerobatic display , stalls from the Autojumble Club of Ireland where you might find that elusive part, Road Safety Authority shuttle & Rollover Simulator ( great fun ! )
This promises to be a great day out and the Limerick Classic & Vintage Car Club hope to make it a bit special with some added attractions to mark it's 22nd year.
