Many thanks to all at the weekend. The temperature was cold but it did stay dry and made for good driving conditions on the run. There were some fantastic cars on display at the meet and a great turn out. I must say, the arrival of the IEC lads before they went out on their Blacksod run added a great buzz to the meet and was a welcome addition.

Before heading out on the run the drivers choices were announced. Best Kadett went to Peter Banaghan and his stunning Kadett D GTE.





Overall drivers choice went to Eamon Sharkey's equally stunning Ascona 400r.





Worthy winners from a very high standard of cars in attendance.



A special word of thanks to Tony McDermott for his generous winning €100 bid for Opel Blitz sign. It is going to a good cause in the Bone Marrow for Lukemia trust. Also a word of thanks to Pat Mullan for pic below. Keep an eye on IVS Retro Classic magazine for future feature.

[*]Well done James and crew for a great day out in Mayo... Was a last minute call to head over from Monaghan on Sunday morning but delighted to have made it... While it was cold was dry and hardy.. Great to meet up with fellow Opel heads again.. Sorry my names to faces is never great so sorry if give ya a wrong name or none at all ... Some lovely cars on display and very worthy winners... The Run out the coast was brilliant especially for those of us who have never been that far out West... Popping up a few photos taken by my 5 and 9 year old navigators and the biggest compliment that can be given to any event is when children tell you that they enjoyed that and when can they go again...

Great day again as usual well organised by James , couldn't believe the weather when i got nearer home .It poured rain from Shannon all the way home . Delighted with car first long maiden voyage where better to take it but to Kadettfest .
Just watched the video on you tube ...brilliant viewing ,James and Willie ye make great commentators some great shots on the video pity about invasion of Fords but they were out numbered .
